Immigration is not a problem to be eradicated or managed but a gift we should celebrate. We believe that the diversity of this country is one of our greatest strengths, not a weakness or a threat.

Our religious traditions all call us to treat others as we would want to be treated. When we see those in need across the world who flee their homes out of necessity or migrate for opportunity, our country should be seen as a welcoming beacon of hope.

We honor those who called this country home before we did or this nation existed and acknowledge that many of us or our ancestors were once immigrants to this land. Many of our sacred texts remind us of these journeys and command us to treat those who flee or migrate today with dignity and respect.

We can build an immigration system that reflects the best of who we are. Regardless of religion, race or country of origin, we count it a blessing that so many seek to call this place home. Our strength and resiliency is not measured by who we keep out but by those who are welcomed in.
