ICYMI: Faith Forward Launches National Effort to Reach Faith Voters in 2024

Campaign launches with targeted digital ad buy featured this morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and in Politico Playbook

Washington, DC - This morning, Faith Forward, a 501c(4) organization dedicated to bringing people of faith together to restore the the soul of the nation, launched its national campaign with an ad entitled “God Made All of Us,” featured this morning on both Morning Joe and in Politico’s Playbook. The digital ad is being targeted toward voters of faith and is meant to communicate directly with folks who are uneasy with the idolatry and messaging behind the “God Made Trump” ad as well as other efforts by the former President and his allies to interject Christian Nationalism into the 2024 campaign.

On Morning Joe, former Senator Claire McCaskill said the ad was “powerful,” and said that she wanted to see more ads like “God Made All of Us” this year.

“First of all, I think it’s powerful. Second of all the Biden campaign needs to lean into every single area that Trump is trying to claim including faith,” said former Senator McCaskill.

“Since the beginning of the year, we’ve seen a small group of Christian Nationalists manipulate the word of God to try and wrap former President Trump’s campaign in a sheen of religious iconography. Every voter of faith should be suspicious of these folks who want to bend our democratic institutions to the breaking point,” said Rev. Jennifer Butler, Executive Director of Faith Forward. “Our campaign is going to reach out to faith voters in key states of concern, using advertising, relational organizing and trusted community validators in parishes and congregations to separate fact from fiction and ensure that these folks aren’t able to manipulate our community.”

Faith Forward will be active in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina– key states of importance to 2024 with large populations of faith voters. The campaign will use cutting edge targeting to ensure that voters of faith are getting the messages they need to be educated and activated ahead of November’s election. Advertising is just one aspect of the campaign that will be hiring organizers, hosting in-person events, activating faith leaders and others to organize faith voters this year.

In addition, Faith Forward will also be working to ensure that disinformation around the election and its results are not allowed to go unanswered within the community. In 2024, it is fully expected that some might try to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election during and immediately after election day while results are still being tabulated. It is critical that faith voters are mobilized against these attacks and are getting fact-based information around the health and security of our elections.

“We can’t sit by while anti-democratic forces pump large amounts of disinformation to our community around election administration and the security of our vote. We intend to ensure that faith voters are getting fact-based information around our elections and the incredible job that our elections administrators do every day to protect and preserve our democracy,” said Max Finberg, the board chair of Faith Forward.
